Returning to State in Emporia Oct. 28, the Lady Cubs ended their season losing all three games in Emporia bringing their final season record to 28-14. Despite the losses, they were still able to experience the competition of the State Tournament.

The Lady Cubs came into the tournament as the eighth seed; because of their seed, they started off the tournament losing to the number one seed, Hays TMP-Marian, 19-25 and 17-25. Humboldt also lost their second game against Silver Lake 22-25 and 8-25. The Lady Cubs then ended their season, losing to Hesston 22-25 and 10-25.

“I was happy with the way we played at State,” Terry Meadows, head coach, said. “The girls fought hard the entire time and were competitive with the best teams in the State.”
