Cadavers seem creepy to some, but 33 sophomores experienced the chance of a

lifetime at Pittsburg State University, Feb. 23, when they viewed a cadaver at the school’s Science Day. The sophomores also competed in tests about Genetics, General Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology. Results for the tests will be posted at a later time.

After competing, the students were able to view a cadaver. They were also allowed to hold and touch the organs of the cadaver, if they chose to.

“Every year my students anticipate and enjoy Science Day,” Teri Shaughnessy,

science teacher, said. “This is such a unique experience, and it also gives the kids an idea of what a college campus looks like.”
