Humboldt celebrated the 60th annual Biblesta Oct. 7. Biblesta consisted of a parade that focused on Bible-themed floats and many different stands that sold food and drinks.

Different float builders and walking entries were included in the parade

The idea of Biblesta came from Dre. Boy Scout Troop 71, the Iola Middle School and the Humboldt Marching Band were just a few in addition to the many churches who created floats.. Arthur Carlson in 1957 while he was attending a prayer meeting. He was on his knees in prayer when he began to imagine a parade that would focus the Bible.

“My favorite part of Biblesta is spending time with my family and friends that come from out of town,” Allison Barnhart, office secretary, said.
